The Riptide BBQ Story
Welcome to the Riptide BBQ home page. The Riptide
Barbeque is located in scenic Depoe Bay Oregon.
Our Address is 433 NW Hwy 101; we are located next to the Pirate Coffee Company;
south of the WorldMark resort community and just north of the Seawall. The
Riptide offers the finest wood smoked locally fresh BBQ meats on the coast.
We use local vendors for our meat, vegetables, baked goods, and seafood. All
cooked daily to perfection utilizing our in house made BBQ sauces, and rubs. Our
pit master has spent over 17-years mastering the art of cooking and smoking
meats.
The Riptide offers BBQ from three distinct regions of the country, south east,
mid west, and Texas. Our pulled pork recipe is classic Carolina, and Georgia
style. Slow smoked over Alder the pulled after 12 hours of cooking. Our Ribs are
dry-rubbed, aged then kissed with our Kickin’ Apple mop similar to the St. Louis
style. The brisket is dry rubbed with the Cascade rub then smoked over our BBQ
pit, this is pure Texas style. Dine-in; take-out or delivered our meats can be
purchased by the sandwich, meal or the pound.
Our sauces are all served on the side and offer bold flavors to suit your taste.
The Mainstay is our Riptide Red; a tomato molasses based sauce with some heat at
the finish. The Tsunami Slather a mustard based sauce with a strong current of
horseradish running througout, and Vonda’s Vinegar a classic vinegar, pepper
sauce from the eastern seaboard. Our side dishes are classic BBQ shack fare. We
have Bark’n Beans; Coleslaw; potato salad; macaroni salad; Waldorf Salad, and
